The therapist is also another set of eyes and ears for the victim. They also report any more bullying to us. More information from an adult gives the school staff more authority to discipline the bully, and possibly remove him/her from the general school population. Most of your schools don't have in-school counseling programs.
But, don't worry! I then refer the bully and the victim to outside therapists in the community! You can get a disclosure statement signed and still get information from this community therapist! "Where there is a will, there is a way!"
You have counseled and yelled at the bullies! And they are still running their mouths and hurting innocent students! Remember the Bully Zapper motto - "Keep Trying!"
